This award-winning supernatural thriller continues its phenomenal run – returning to the Gielgud Theatre this Summer.
Following five record-breaking seasons at the Noël Coward, Gielgud, Criterion, The Lyric Theatre and The Apollo Theatre, and currently selling out across the UK, this critically acclaimed new play has become the UK’s must-see theatre event.
2:22- A Ghost Story is written by award-winning writer Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcast The Battersea Poltergeist, and is directed by Matthew Dunster and Isabel Marr. Brilliantly funny and intriguing; 2:22 A Ghost Story is an adrenaline-filled night where secrets emerge and ghosts may or may not appear. What do you believe? And do you dare discover the truth?
Jenny believes her new home is haunted, but her husband Sam isn’t having any of it. They argue with their first dinner guests, old friend Lauren and new partner Ben. Can the dead really walk again? Belief and scepticism clash, but something feels strange and frightening, and that something is getting closer. So they’re going to stay up until 2:22….and then they’ll know.

Good show to watch with family
Great cast, great story, great suspense and great humour.
Excellent play. All 4 actors were brilliant and the whole story was superb. It was funny, dramatic and literally had you on the edge of your seats. It was fantastic to see the theatre full and the audience’ s reactions were some of the best I’ve ever experienced. 100% recommended and a great evening out ??
Me and my 12 11 and 9 year old kids all really enjoyed it. They are pretty well read and the adult language was something we just had to understand as a part of the art. The cast was terrific. The theater and its staff super pleasant. Cheers.
Overall we enjoyed the play - it made me jump in places which was fun. Good set which was well used. However, the reason I only gave it 3 stars - was because Stacy Dolley wasn’t great. She spoke quietly and it was difficult to hear what she was saying ++ she wasn’t a great actress
Was so good
Thoroughly enjoyable with a twist
Loved it! Such a good play, book it now!
Good plot, makes you jump, really good ending but “we won’t tell!”.
AMAZING SHOW! Definitely worth it.
First time at this theatre, loved the location and ambiance of the theatre. Show was really good and well produced. Great cast would highly recommend to all.
The staging looked good but sadly the acoustics of the theatre, even from row M in the stalls, were such that I was completely unable to follow the plot.
