Adam Kay brings his new show to the West End’s Lyric Theatre for 7 performances over.

Following the huge success of his memoir This is Going to Hurt, and the spin-off smash-hit stage show and BBC TV series, Adam brings his new show Undoctored – This is Going to Hurt…. More! to the Lyric Theatre in London.

By turns hilarious, heartbreaking and humbling, Undoctored is about what happens when a doctor hangs up his scrubs, but medicine refuses to let go of him.

It’s about opening old wounds and examining the present-day scars, about hospital admissions and personal ones, about blowing up your life and stitching it back together, and about being both a doctor and a patient.

Undoctored is Adam Kay’s funniest and most moving book yet – an astonishing portrait of a life in and out of medicine, from one of Britain’s finest storytellers, and is now coming to the West End stage in an extraordinary new show.

The show is coming to London following a hugely successful, sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Undoctored – This is Going to Hurt… More is playing at the Lyric Theatre in London from 23 to 28 October 2023.

Excellent for the first 90%. The last 10 minutes were clearly to raw for Adam Kay and whilst, as part of the NHS, I fully understand and share his views, it just left the audience feeling a little bit uncomfortable.

A very entertaining show that captured the soul of working within the NHS. It was hilariously funny generally but interlaced with poignant moments that reflected upon the pressures that go with a job. Adam has mastered how to make light of many situations whilst not overstepping the mark into disrespecting the subjects of his recollections. A great comedy that also carried a profound message about caring for the carers. As a still serving member of the NHS for over a quarter of a century his message resonated with me & undoubtedly will with both other NHS colleagues & the public in general.
